Template:Song box Love is Dead is a promotional single from Kerli's debut album Love Is Dead. It is the first track on the album.

Composition

Kerli claims she wrote the song after she liked a boy despite the fact he didn't like her.[1] She also said that later she understood the song could mean so much more and that she grew fond of it.

Release

The song was released in December, 2007 to promote the album Love Is Dead. The first official single off the album was Walking on Air.

Music video

Kerli sings face to face with the camera; The background is very dark and depressing and Kerli is very elderly. As the video progresses, Kerli grows younger and the background gets more colorful and cheerful. Throughout the video, crows are seen flying in the background and transition into butterflies towards the end of the video. A gigantic butterfly flies onto the back of Kerli and it appears as if she has wings. The background makes it appear as if she is now flying as she screams the end of the song.
